What is the biggest lie you've told?
Submitted by lazywong.
I remember when I was about 7 years old, I was eating oranges with my older sister (she was 13). I accidentally swallowed an orange seed and I started to flip out. She told me that I could never drink any liquids ever again or else an orange tree would grow out of every hole in my body. Lying liar who lies!!
Popped by the Curve in the afternoon after having lunch and headed straight to Borders there.
And I went crazy in Borders today. I kid you not.
I was literally on a book frenzy.
It could be because i haven't been buying books for such a long time already, that when faced with suchs good deals for books that i've been hearing so much about, i couldn't but help splurge on it!
I stepped in and faced the table that had the '3 for 2' books.
And within a minute, i already had 4 books in my arms :P
Carried the pile of books with me and browsed some more to see what other interesting books i could find at the place. I think I must've looked like such a nerd >.<
I would reach out for books without a second thought and before i knew it, i was lugging around 9 books with me :P
But that was one too many, so i only got 8 books, two of which were presents to really good friends!
(i think i've said this before, but don't books just make the best of presents!)
Damage done = RM 230. I'm using this as a treat to myself for my good results, and it's books! I mean, as opposed to buying other stuff, i think this is a much better way to treat oneself! =)
Also best to stock up nicely with books first so that i will always have something to read when in uni!
I mentioned how buying books is so much more fulfilling than buying clothes sometimes and my guyfriend couldn't believe that he heard that, especially coming from a girl LOL!
Did a little bit more shopping before i came home for a quick dinner, shower and then head back out to the Curve (again) to chill at Laundry Bar for a while before catching The Dark Knight at Cineleisure Platinum!
Ok, anyone who knows me knows that I don't drink beer. I don't like how it is bitter and hard to drink. And also because it hits you right at your glands below your cheek and it makes you (or at least me) cringe >.<
But seeing that this was the only thing the guys were drinking, i decided to give it a try, again.
I cringed, again and mentioned that it was bitter. So they told me that i shouldn't sip it, but take big gulps.
So take big gulps, i did.
And it wasn't that bad. I guess it just takes some getting used to. Especially the part where it is just really gassy and a tad bitter.
But i would still take a whiskey coke any day :p
Headed over to Cineleisure Platinum (Platinum is like the Gold Class of Cineleisure) after that for the movie and every part of it (the place and the movie) was awesome!
The place is a small theatre of 24 big, plush, comfy, reclinable seats with excellent butler-like services provided. They serve you food in your seats! All you have to do is order before or during the movie.
I was sitting on the front row and i was so afraid that it'll be so close to the screens that i wouldn't enjoy it. but despite it being the front row, i didn't have any trouble watching the movie at all, all thanks to the (electrically) reclinable seats! :D Visual was good, audio was good too!
As for the movie, it was superb and bloody excellent. The flow of the movie was really smooth and i personally think it was better than Batman Begins. I won't spoil it for you guys, but all i can say is that they really couldn't have picked a better person to play the Joker than Heath Ledger!
I really think that the movie couldn't be as good were it not for his acting as the Joker. It was so good that i actually felt psychologically afraid of him (watch it and you'll know what i mean).
You guys *have* to watch it!
Popped by Sanctuary for a while after for Yih Lin's Birthday celebration. Caught up with the girls there a little bit, danced a little (Thursday night at Sanctuary = good music!) before calling it a night.
Feeling rather talkative right now, hence the long blog post. Also it's to make up for my relatively long absence from here :p
Well, since the last post, i've played paintball in a multi-storey carpark, been waking up at 3 in the afternoon, met up with classmates from my primary school whom i haven't seen for ages and been enjoying the last week of holiday a lot! :)
That's about it. Time to sleep for me. There's a nice sweeping, cool breeze tonight and i reckon i'll be having a good night's sleep because of it :)
Good night Voxers!
I made this kitteh pen pouch for leigh! I think it turned out absolutely adorable, and I'm going to make one for myself as well!
Lastly, I made Pinky (my pink 2G nano iPod) a new outfit. It turned out rather well, I suppose. The purple pen marks should come off. Hopefully. Heh. It's supposed to.
Anyway, that's how I spent my day besides thanksgiving myself with Sonic. Ugh. Srsly, friends, stop me from eating Sonic next time -_-
PS: Project Runway begins tonight!!!!
Aaaaand... plums are in season. They're delicious. Go buy a few or ten ; ) I can't stop eating plums!
Shocker. I know.
- My friends uploaded photos on facebook/myspace today of last week, and here's a photo from the night we went to Sevens. Sigh. I miss them already! You know those friends in life that go away for years, but whenever you get together with them again it feels like nothing's changed? Well, those are my japan friends. They're precious. We're all scattered about the globe now like the chocolate chips in my ice cream, but it's nice to know that it is a small world.
- This morning I saw a commercial for Penelope! It came out on DVD today! I ate lunch, got dressed, and went to Target. W00t. About to go put that in the DVD player and chill for the rest of the day.
- The new Melt store opened up at Towne Center, and guess who went there this afternoon?? :o) That's right---me! I am such an indecisive person that I decided to get a sampler with four mini-scoops of ice cream and got stracciatella/chocolate chip, strawberry, mocha almond fudge, and italian rocky road. I am in love.... gelato, crepes, food, and coffee?? It's love, I tell you, love. Coldstone needs to understand my affair.
- I think the robin eggs hatched in my backyard. Each year, a robin makes a nest on the same lamp post on the side of our house and lays eggs. I saw the robin feeding the babies, but I can't look into the nest. But I did snap this photo.
- I went to Bar Norfolk Saturday night with all of my japan friends. I wish I got a photo of all of us, but I was too out of it to think about it (well, they're all in the video from the previous post). I needed food in my system before I drove home, and we stopped at Denny's. At Bar Norfolk, we had these wrist bands around our right wrist and I thought they would cut it off before we left the club, but I suppose I was still way out of it that we all just walked out. At Denny's, we were waiting for food and I think we were talking about the wrist bands at the time when I accidentally pulled my wrist band.... and made it tighter around my wrist. Shiiiit. Srsly, my hand was about to fall off. My friend next to me asked for scissors, but we ended up getting a steak knife and he tried to saw it off my hand, but it wasn't working. My wrist was turning redder. Then, someone else tried to take the wrist band off my hand and voila! My wrist was free. Never again, Barb, no. But that wrist band is sentimental and it's on my keychain.
Well, I'm off to watch Penelope :o) Ciao!
I had fun.
Tons of fun.
But now they're all gone =( Again. Sigh.
Let's all meet in Vegas next year.
Mini hangover Sunday morning.
Too much rum the night before. Thanks Tinaaaaaaa <3
Sigh.
Fun times.

It's been busy and really hectic. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Jay and I went home to Atlantic City to spend time with both his and my family.
July 4th we went to his brother's house for an afternoon BBQ. I love Thai food and that is exactly what his brother made. For those of you just tuning it, Jay is half Thai and half Puerto-Rican ... odd, I know!
That's a really cute picture of his nieces. I call them my pseudo nieces since, well, they'll become my nieces one day! Afterwards, we went to my parents for dinner and watched the fireworks from our back porch. We left AC around 11PM because it was getting pretty late and we still had to make the 1.5hr drive home, which wasn't bad at all.
The next day, my uncle died in Vietnam. My sister called and broke the news to me but oddly enough I didn't cry and I still have yet to. I guess I cried so much before he died that I'm a little ... cried out for now. I just know it's just going to come barreling back at me at the worst moment.
I also went to the dentist for a check-up and to get my teeth cleaned, and I have to get my wisdom teeth removed since they are impacted. I have a consultation on the 27th to schedule my extraction. In the mean time, my doctor prescribed me Penecillin for the infection (and to lessen the swelling) and vicodin for the pain. The side effects freak me out so I've only taken one - and right before bed. This way I can't feel anything and can sleep peacefully.
I didn't know if I'd be allergic to Vicodin so I had Jay wake me up after two hours to make sure I was alright. I'm fine, I felt like I could fly.
I am totally taking the time to R-E-L-A-X this weekend. I might even purchase a membership to use the apartment complex's pool because it's so nice and sunny out. That or renew my membership at the gym. Maybe I'll stick with the gym. Anyhow, did I ever mention I am obsessed with flowers? I have to have fresh flowers in the house or grow some sort of plant or I will just keel over and die.
Jay calls me a flower murderer and that they are my latest "victims" since they don't last long. Sorry bucko, fresh cut flowers don't live forever.
I've been watching too many You Tube videos, seriously. I geeked out and attempted to make my first video. It's not the best but it's something I put together in an hour using Windows Movie Maker.. not too shabby for someone with zero windows movie making skillz. lol.
I need a better cam angle too.
The card I made was very very plain and simple. I didn't want to overachieve at my first try, yaknow?
Well, eeek... enjoy!
---how do you embed your videos on here? the code on vimeo doesn't work. hmmm?
