What is the biggest lie you've told?
Submitted by lazywong.
I remember when I was about 7 years old, I was eating oranges with my older sister (she was 13). I accidentally swallowed an orange seed and I started to flip out. She told me that I could never drink any liquids ever again or else an orange tree would grow out of every hole in my body. Lying liar who lies!!
I made this kitteh pen pouch for leigh! I think it turned out absolutely adorable, and I'm going to make one for myself as well!
Lastly, I made Pinky (my pink 2G nano iPod) a new outfit. It turned out rather well, I suppose. The purple pen marks should come off. Hopefully. Heh. It's supposed to.
Anyway, that's how I spent my day besides thanksgiving myself with Sonic. Ugh. Srsly, friends, stop me from eating Sonic next time -_-
PS: Project Runway begins tonight!!!!
Aaaaand... plums are in season. They're delicious. Go buy a few or ten ; ) I can't stop eating plums!
Shocker. I know.
- My friends uploaded photos on facebook/myspace today of last week, and here's a photo from the night we went to Sevens. Sigh. I miss them already! You know those friends in life that go away for years, but whenever you get together with them again it feels like nothing's changed? Well, those are my japan friends. They're precious. We're all scattered about the globe now like the chocolate chips in my ice cream, but it's nice to know that it is a small world.
- This morning I saw a commercial for Penelope! It came out on DVD today! I ate lunch, got dressed, and went to Target. W00t. About to go put that in the DVD player and chill for the rest of the day.
- The new Melt store opened up at Towne Center, and guess who went there this afternoon?? :o) That's right---me! I am such an indecisive person that I decided to get a sampler with four mini-scoops of ice cream and got stracciatella/chocolate chip, strawberry, mocha almond fudge, and italian rocky road. I am in love.... gelato, crepes, food, and coffee?? It's love, I tell you, love. Coldstone needs to understand my affair.
- I think the robin eggs hatched in my backyard. Each year, a robin makes a nest on the same lamp post on the side of our house and lays eggs. I saw the robin feeding the babies, but I can't look into the nest. But I did snap this photo.
- I went to Bar Norfolk Saturday night with all of my japan friends. I wish I got a photo of all of us, but I was too out of it to think about it (well, they're all in the video from the previous post). I needed food in my system before I drove home, and we stopped at Denny's. At Bar Norfolk, we had these wrist bands around our right wrist and I thought they would cut it off before we left the club, but I suppose I was still way out of it that we all just walked out. At Denny's, we were waiting for food and I think we were talking about the wrist bands at the time when I accidentally pulled my wrist band.... and made it tighter around my wrist. Shiiiit. Srsly, my hand was about to fall off. My friend next to me asked for scissors, but we ended up getting a steak knife and he tried to saw it off my hand, but it wasn't working. My wrist was turning redder. Then, someone else tried to take the wrist band off my hand and voila! My wrist was free. Never again, Barb, no. But that wrist band is sentimental and it's on my keychain.
Well, I'm off to watch Penelope :o) Ciao!
I had fun.
Tons of fun.
But now they're all gone =( Again. Sigh.
Let's all meet in Vegas next year.
Mini hangover Sunday morning.
Too much rum the night before. Thanks Tinaaaaaaa <3
Sigh.
Fun times.
It's been busy and really hectic. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Jay and I went home to Atlantic City to spend time with both his and my family.
July 4th we went to his brother's house for an afternoon BBQ. I love Thai food and that is exactly what his brother made. For those of you just tuning it, Jay is half Thai and half Puerto-Rican ... odd, I know!
That's a really cute picture of his nieces. I call them my pseudo nieces since, well, they'll become my nieces one day! Afterwards, we went to my parents for dinner and watched the fireworks from our back porch. We left AC around 11PM because it was getting pretty late and we still had to make the 1.5hr drive home, which wasn't bad at all.
The next day, my uncle died in Vietnam. My sister called and broke the news to me but oddly enough I didn't cry and I still have yet to. I guess I cried so much before he died that I'm a little ... cried out for now. I just know it's just going to come barreling back at me at the worst moment.
I also went to the dentist for a check-up and to get my teeth cleaned, and I have to get my wisdom teeth removed since they are impacted. I have a consultation on the 27th to schedule my extraction. In the mean time, my doctor prescribed me Penecillin for the infection (and to lessen the swelling) and vicodin for the pain. The side effects freak me out so I've only taken one - and right before bed. This way I can't feel anything and can sleep peacefully.
I didn't know if I'd be allergic to Vicodin so I had Jay wake me up after two hours to make sure I was alright. I'm fine, I felt like I could fly.
I am totally taking the time to R-E-L-A-X this weekend. I might even purchase a membership to use the apartment complex's pool because it's so nice and sunny out. That or renew my membership at the gym. Maybe I'll stick with the gym. Anyhow, did I ever mention I am obsessed with flowers? I have to have fresh flowers in the house or grow some sort of plant or I will just keel over and die.
Jay calls me a flower murderer and that they are my latest "victims" since they don't last long. Sorry bucko, fresh cut flowers don't live forever.
I've been watching too many You Tube videos, seriously. I geeked out and attempted to make my first video. It's not the best but it's something I put together in an hour using Windows Movie Maker.. not too shabby for someone with zero windows movie making skillz. lol.
I need a better cam angle too.
The card I made was very very plain and simple. I didn't want to overachieve at my first try, yaknow?
Well, eeek... enjoy!
---how do you embed your videos on here? the code on vimeo doesn't work. hmmm?
I've been having a great week with friends (i.e. going to the mall, movie, sevens) after my huge test on Monday and terrible heartache-of-a-week last week. I suppose the world is balancing out the shittiness that's been happening in my life. Today I'm off to Busch Gardens and probably see some of those friends again tonight and tomorrow. W00t.
Oh.
And I love Wall-e.
So I made an attempt to draw Wallllll-eeee and his lover Eveeeeee.
First, I went back to Linens 'n Things and purchased the blue and purple curtain! Oh, I love the colors. Looks a little bit silly in my room, but I love the colors way too much to complain about that. Maybe I'll rearrange my room a bit, and get new furniture since everything in my room is over ten years old. Another summer project. I promise to show you my newly decorated bathroom when it's finished!!
Next, I went to see Wall-E. And oh-em-geeeeeh, I LOVE WALL-E! The movie is super cute and I giggled all the way through the movie. I love the message. It makes you think twice about earth. Go green, folks. Promote the movement! And, it also motivates me on exercising and taking advantage of the outdoors. Now that my dot is over and the stress and sadness in my life has ceased to halt for the time being, I shall ride my bike, go to the gym, and eat healthier. I'll feel better, lose weight, and be more confident. You think that'd be motivating enough, huh? Takes a little umph to motivate me by myself, but, I need to promise myself. I need to believe that this is what I should be doing. Ugh. Anyway, I love Wall-e. You all should go watch it if you haven't already.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that I stopped by Starbucks before the movie. Save Sbux!
I went to Target afterwards and bought these new yummy snacks. I thought they'd be hallowed out like the goldfish crackers, unfortunately they aren't. They're more like the teddy grahams :o) I also bought Lucky magazine.
Last, I went to Chipotle and bought a Chicken Fajita Burrito. I've never been to Chipotle, and I must say that I loooove it! Omg, I overstuffed my burrito and only ate half and some of my chips & salsa. Leftovers for tomorrow! Mmmmm!
I have a tiny headache (since I left the theaters), so I shall go to bed and read my new Lucky magazine. And Plurk, but, Plurk is a given.
Happy Wednesday night, folks ; )
PS: I've been wondering about these folks... where are you? How are you? (Italiana, patrick, mayumi, Annaface, Barbie). I understand many of you don't blog a lot and that you're hardly on here, but sometimes I just want to hear if you're doing all right. Hehe. That goes for all of you.
- A storm began when I walked out of Linens 'n Things.
- The curtains I bought from Linens 'n Things (pink and orange) are the shorter than my current curtains. I thought the other one was way too long, psh, and they were cheaper. Now they just mismatch.
- I gave into cookies. I always do well with eating a healthy breakfast and lunch, but then the afternoon comes and I crave sweets---chocolate to be exact. I think I'm more addicted to chocolate/sweets than Starbucks. Shocker there.
- I think it's going to storm all this week.
- The Vox meet-up is in Ohio. Ugh. Virginia is for lovers, folks. Come to Virginia Beach!
- My left eye is still red =/ Not as bad as yesterday, but still red. And it hurt on and off today. I took a test on the computer (got in at 1:00 and got out little past 5:00). My eyes are tired =/
- Roger Federer lost his Wimbledon 5-year streak. Ahh, nobody really is perfect. I wanted him to win. I really did. He's a favorite of mine.
Loved:
- My doodles this morning came out kind of cute.
- My bathroom is looking awesome. I bought a pink trashcan to match the new hand towel I bought from Target and the lights I hung bordering the mirror. I'm going to JCPenny's to get bathroom rugs. I'm thinking blue-green. Eeps! Jeff is going to like my totally girly bathroom >.<
- I watched Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants today. I love that movie. Srsly, friends help me live, you know? Like, I wouldn't be able to get through life without friends. All you girls have been more reliable than guys ever were to me.
- Jason Mraz - A Beautiful Mess.
- I'm going to watch Wall-E tomorrow.
- My favorite tree is in my neighborhood's front lawn.
- I'm going to paint my nails a sheer-pink color because mom said the blue made me look like a drug addict.
- Rafael Nadal won Wimbledon 2008! He broke Roger Federer's 5-year streak!
- Andy Roddick. Despite disappointments, I still love him. And despite his relationship with her.
